High Voltage. Bonfest 3rd May
“As Good as It Gets for Bon-Era Supremacy.”
…In a small tent at Bonfest, playing to a select, invited crowd, they came out swinging from the opening riff of “Live Wire”—tight, loud, and gloriously unpolished in all the right ways. The setlist was a fan’s dream, packed with essentials and zero filler: “Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be,” “High Voltage,” and a downright nasty “Bad Boy Boogie.” When they tore into “Whole Lotta Rosie,” it felt like a time machine back to 1978….
…They closed out with a killer trifecta: “Dirty Deeds,” “T.N.T.,” and the perfect send-off—“It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ’n’ Roll),” followed by “Highway to Hell.” By the end, I was grinning and already planning my next gig.
High Voltage aren’t just a great tribute—they’re a tremendous live band, full stop. If you’ve got blood, they’ll get it pumping
